Demographics of Pinellas County COVID-19 Cases
COVID-19 Cases at Long-Term Care Facilities (Nursing Homes and Adult Living Facilities)
This information is updated weekly.
Residents of long-term care facilities are among our most vulnerable population. We are monitoring infections in these facilities, as well as within the general population, to better understand the spread. We want both numbers to go down, but knowing where the spread is happening helps us respond.
Testing in Pinellas continues to increase. We are closely monitoring the percentage of tests that come back positive.
The State Department of Health regularly provides a report that includes the number of tests and positive lab results for Pinellas County.
Daily Tests Completed vs. Availability
The majority of tests are occurring in the private sector, but we are compiling weekday testing data from the following partners: Florida Department of Health in Pinellas, Community Health Centers of Pinellas and BayCare.
This information is updated based on reports provided by the respective agencies. Data captured in the chart reflects only community testing sites and does not include tests BayCare conducts at its hospitals.
Healthcare System Capacity
System capacity is key to ensuring that local hospitals are able to treat all patients requiring hospitalization safely without resorting to crisis standards of care.
